Negotiations were facilitated by a text prepared by the Chair and targetted questions (102 kB) posed to Parties. July 29, 2010: The tenth session of the AWG-LCA provided the first official opportunity for Parties to return to the negotiating table since Copenhagen. In Copenhagen there were major advances in the negotiations on technology development and transfer, with Parties coming close to an agreement to establish a new Technology Mechanism under the Convention. Parties at the tenth session of the AWG-LCA confirmed the progress made in Copenhagen and discussions shifted towards how the Technology Mechanism would work in practice.
