Suspected Poachers Caught In Kaziranga

On September 21, 2017, Range Officers of Northern Range of Kaziranga National Park apprehended two persons suspected to be poachers and took them into custody.

The suspected poachers were caught carrying an assortment of items. The seizure included a .303 Rifle, a slingshot, improvised darts and chemicals among ropes and plastic bags.

“The men have been taken into custody and are being interrogated.” said Rohini Saikia, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO).
