‘Leave Me Alone’: Kids For Tigers Schools Screen Documentaries On Tigers

As part of the Leave Me Alone campaign, Sanctuary’s Kids For Tigers held documentary screenings across various schools in New Delhi.

Amity School, Saket, and Convent of Jesus and Mary held programmes at their schools on July 22 to spread awareness about the campaign. On July 23, over 150 students from Alchon Public School in New Delhi attended a screening of the Sanctuary short film Born Free followed by a slideshow on the importance of wildlife conservation and the need to protect the tiger. The same programme was conducted for over 500 students at Vidya Niketan School. These events were very well received by them. Over 130 students from Ryan International School also attended the documentary screening and presentation on July 24.

The coordinators spoke to the students about the ‘Leave Me Alone’ campaign and the need to provide the tiger with space, protection and isolation. The students ended the programme with deafening cries to leave the tiger alone and with a strong resolve to help save it.

The Bluebells International School, Hill Woods Academy and Modern School are slotted to be a part of the campaign next week.
