Last Few Days For Nominating For The IUCN WCPA/IRF Young Conservationist Award 2011

December 20, 2010: Dear IUCN WCPA member,

 

This award recognises the work of young conservationsts (under the age of 35) working in the field of protected area management.

 

The award aims to recognize and raise awareness of the outstanding contributions made to the management of protected areas, and leadership shown, by young conservationists. It also seeks to encourage young professionals and help them develop networks by inviting a recipient to attend a global conservation events and become a member of the global community of Young Conservationists.

 

For the 2011 award, the award recipient will have his/her travel, accommodation, and conference fees fully paid to attend the biennial George Wright Society Conference on Parks, Protected Areas and Cultural Sites March 2011, New Orleans, United States.

 

The deadline for nominations for this award is 22 December 2010.
