Take Action

The threats facing the natural world are mounting by the day and the most visible impact of the retreat of wild nature is climate change. The solutions cannot possibly be left to the hands of governments or even environmentalists. And the issues involve the survival not only of tigers, elephants and termites, but every human being on Earth. Clearly, therefore, each of us must be part of the solution. This section of the website will help you take quick action on the issues that you relate to. And before you ask, Yes! Writing to people to protest, or to encourage, does have an impact. We urge you, however, to move beyond mere writing to real involvement. Remember when you 'Take Action' you support the brave hearts battling the dismal ones who think little of trashing forests, rivers, mountains... even your own neighbourhood. We particularly invite you to influence the content of this section, to bring us updates on campaigns with which you are personally involved, or about which you have specific information. Protecting the environment is not a spectator sport – Take Action Now!

Its never too late, its never too little. Take your first action right away. Remember, sitting on the fence never helped anything. Jump in and take the plunge. Work with others to protect the only planet we have. It might be the most rewarding thing you ever did.

Every one right from Parliament to the local news papers always write about Sariska and ranthambore which are situated very close to Delhi or Famous tourists Destination. But what About Melghat, which had more than 85 tigers few years back, is left with less than 35 tigers and no one writes or speaks about this place because it is not Kanha or Sunderban or close to Delhi or Mumbai. If it is Tiger, Beig Wild life species it should be given equal important of each reserve and I think. Sanctu

Hi all The very recent news which needs special attention is regarding the existence of Indian bustard. The great Indian Bustard, very beautiful bird has been declared as "Critically Endangered species". If proper attention is not given the day will be not far away when this bird will only be seen in books. Awareness campaigns among school children can be one of the options. Other options if someone have in their minds please let the people know about it through "take action"

I think this part initiated by sanctuary Asia is very encouraging. To solve the problems regarding pollution, encroachment etc, first thing that is required to be done is to change the mentality of people around us. We all must remember that Improvement starts with 'I'. In our college days our group used to conduct an event on social awareness. The ideas which came in front of us were very good, some of which we implemented with positive change as a result. so people are ready to accept the chang

Majority of People living in around Valparai in Western Ghats(Tamilnadu)shows aversion towards wild animals. Recently Panthers attacked human beings here and there. This created a panic situation in Valparai. More Awareness campaigns are required for the masses.

I have safeguarded the life of few squirrels, by seizing four metal traps from the children at the age of 10 to 12 when they involved in hunting the squirrels.Later I came to know that they have the practice of eating the squirrels. The children were not educated due to the parental attitude.
