Nearly 88 nature clubs in schools and colleges associated with WWF take part in their regular talks, films and slide shows as well as field trips near Mumbai city. The Panda Bulletin and the nature camps to various sanctuaries are part of the benefits for members. Training camps help volunteers learn the basics of conservation. During Mahashivratri, for example, these volunteers organise the crowds that pour into the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, and during Nagpanchami, awareness is created about the ill-treatment of snakes. Annual activities like tree planting and beach clean-ups are also carried out.

Clean Air Island has an innovative way of tackling the city's environmental problems-through street plays. They are also involved in recycling and waste management in conjunction with the BMC. By making use of vermiculture, they have been able to recycle market waste.
