The Indian hare, an important controller of plant and weed populations, is primarily found in semi-arid scrublands, camouflaged in its surroundings by its earth-coloured coat. This hare rarely digs a burrow, preferring to rest in shallow depressions in the ground or against the few large trees found in its habitat.
