Hoary-bellied Squirrel by Dr. Helmut Denzau

The hoary-bellied squirrel Callosciurus pygerythrus photographed in the coastal forest between Katka and Kochikhali is relatively common in the southeastern-most patch of the Bangladesh Sundarbans, though it has not been recorded on the Indian side. Its dorsal hair sports two light-yellow ringsgiving it the typical hoary or grizzled look.
