Green Vine Snake by Abhishek Jain

This green vine snake Ahaetulla nasuta has a very mild venom that cannot harm humans, but is very effective against lizards, tree frogs, small birds and several species of snakes including the unfortunate Beddome’s keelback Amphiesma beddome, in its jaws. The snake blends in to look, for all practical purposes, a part of the tree itself before launching a deadly attack. What the weaver ant Oecophylla smaragdina is doing on the head of the vine snake, is, of course, anyone’s guess.
