Making the most of rapidly-fading light a Bonelli’s Eagle Aquila fasciata consumes its hard-earned meal. This strong bird often kills mammals and birds heavier than itself by ambushing them in the canopy or by chasing them down in the sky. The Bonelli´s Eagle in India is seriously threatened by habitat loss coupled with pesticide poisoning.
