Wolves by Baiju Patil
Wolves live in closely knit packs, which enables them to bring down prey much larger than themselves. The largest member of the family Canidae, the grey wolf Canis lupus is believed to have evolved 300,000 years ago. These plucky animals have survived many natural climatic upheavals including ice ages, but man-made habitat fragmentation, mounting conflict with farmers and climate change impacts could prove to be too much, even for these consummate survivors.
