Flying Fish by Hira Punjabi

The Exocoetidae family comprises roughly 50 species of flying fish, all found in warm tropical and sub-tropical seas. They use their pectoral fins to make a short gliding flight that is double their swimming speed, a few centimetres above the water surface, a strategy that is particularly advantageous when pursued by predatory fish such as swordfish and tuna.
