Saunder’s Tern by Arpit Deomurari

Courtship feeding, as exemplified in this image, is common among the Saunders’s Tern Sterna saundersi. Males will carry fish prominently around the breeding colony, literally bribing prospective females to mate with them. Once a bond is made, the male will feed the female and continue doing this, until she has laid each of her three eggs.
