The Hukawng Valley Tiger Reserve is the largest tiger reserve in the world. It is in Myanmar’s Kachin State, and was created in 1994 as a result of the efforts of Dr. Alan Rabinowitz, then of the Wildlife Conservation Society, now CEO of Panthera. The reserve covers 21, 890 square kilometers.
