Slender loris by Kailash Sankhala

The slender loris (Loris tardigradus), less than a foot in length is a shy nocturnal animal that has a fondness for the berries of lantana bushes commonly found in Bandipur. In addition it also hunts insects, lizards and small birds using stealth, generally under cover of darkness, before pouncing on the prey with both hands.
