Strutting About: A gifted photographer can showcase the beauty of even the most commonplace animal. Here, a resplendent peacock Pavo cristatus looks out at the lake in Ranthambhore’s Kachida valley. Habituated to humans on account of the masses that visit the nearby Kachida temple, this peacock, India’s national bird, allowed a relatively close approach, which ‘made’ this image.
