Velvet Touch

We see a pair of velvet ants in the act of mating. Only males of this species have wings that they use to travel far and wide in search of food… and, you better believe it, to sweep females off their feet! The mating ritual lasts for about two hours, during which the male will use his mandibles to grab onto his mate by her neck.
