Two To Tango
These Indian ridged toads in amplexus were shot in Eravikulam National Park in a shola stream. Unpolluted freshwater streams and pools are important for amphibians to reproduce. Such pristine habitats are home to various species of amphibians of which many are endemic.
The image was taken with a Canon EOS 400D & Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. The toads have been placed on the right side of the frame to include the out-of-focus stream and hills in the backdrop. Taken in daylight conditions without use of any flash.
