The Best Of Pakke
That Arunachal Pradesh is Pakke Tiger Reserve is a biodiverse jewel is no secret. Under the visionary leadership of Divisional Forest Officer Tana Tapi, the park has set exemplary standards for wildlife management in India. Along with their protection duties, over the last four years, Pakke’s inspired field personnel have procured stunning images of the reserve’s wildlife. A selection of which is presented here, courtesy the Pakke Forest Department.
To keep the forest staff motivated, the park authorities run a camera trap photography competition each year. This year, the competition is dedicated to the memory of forest guard Koro Tayem who lost his life in the line of duty when he was killed by a wild elephant. You can help select the winner by voting for your favourite image on the Conservation India website.
