Hornbill Week: India’s Incredible Hornbills

The Malabar Grey Hornbill Ocyceros griseusis endemic to the Western Ghats. The Malabar Grey though looks very similar to the Indian Grey, it has a deep yellow bill and lacks a casque. It has a peculiar loud squealing, laughing cry. They are found in small groups particularly in habitats with good tree cover. Largely frugivorous, they also occasionally feed on small vertebrates.
