A career in Environment does not necessarily demand a specialised
degree. There are many avenues open to those interested in
environmental and conservation issues. Studying economics,
biology, sociology, politics as well as law are all part of
the multi-disciplinary approach required to address any environmental
issue.
Working with NGOs can provide rewarding exposure in the study
of specific projects, issues, places and people.
WII and CSE periodically run short courses and workshops
of one to three weeks for professionals from zoos and veterinary
institutions, central services, law enforcement agencies and
the armed forces, non-governmental organisations and others.
