The Corbett Foundation (TCF)
The Corbett Foundation is a wildlife non-government organisation
(NGO) with a very positive track record and high credibility.
TCF runs a range of programmes including health services and
outreach, and compensation for livestock killed by tigers/leopards
outside the legal limits of the National Park and Tiger Reserve.
The Foundation, which is in its 13th year, needs a deputy
director to head its field operation in Dhikuli,
Uttaranchal.
Responsibilities:
The deputy director will run the operation from its base in
Dhikuli, north of Ramnagar, Uttaranchal.
Duties will include managing, enhancing and fine-tuning projects
and programmes, and managing relationships with stakeholders
in Corbett Tiger Reserve/National Park.
The candidate should have worked in a managerial capacity
before, heading up a team of people in the field.
A track record of work with NGOs in rural/wilderness areas,
especially those with an environmental mandate – would
be a plus.
A commitment to the principles of wildlife and wilderness
conservation, and a sound knowledge of the issues involved,
is essential.
Good working knowledge of Hindi (reading/writing/speaking)
is essential.

with operations in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya
and Mizoram is looking for a Conservation Awareness Officer.

The Samarakshan Trust fosters sustainable nature conservation
in conjunction with local communities and other stakeholders
at sites of conservation importance in these states. Increasing
appreciation of natural values among various stakeholders
is an integral part of the Trust's activities.
Job description:
• Assisting Samrakshan field teams in Madhya
Pradesh, Meghalaya and Mizoram develop conservation awareness
strategies and action plans conducive to local conditions.
• Capacity enhancement of Samrakshan's field teams for
executing such action plans.
• Monitoring the impact of such conservation awareness
activities and making necessary corrections.
• Helping the organisation communicate its work to a
larger audience.
The Conservation Awareness Officer will be based at its Delhi
head office and required to travel extensively to Samrakshan's
field offices, and when required, willing to stay for several
months at these locations. The candidate should have demonstrable
experience in conservation awareness work and an ability to
work under difficult physical conditions.

Greenpeace, India
Greenpeace, a non-profit organization, with a presence
in 40 countries across Europe, America, Asia and the Pacific
is looking for a Campaign Director. As a
global organisation, Greenpeace focuses on the most critical
worldwide environmental issues.
Eligibility:
• Dynamic individual with a minimum of 10 years
of experience of which at least five years have been in designing
multiple campaigns that created social and political change.
• Activist/political bent of mind with a track record
of influencing stakeholders for positive social change.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with well-honed
interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, team management
skills and budget management experience.
• Creative enough to be able to provide out-of-the-box
solutions.
• Knowledge of global environment issues is preferable.
Job description:
1. The Campaigns Director will be responsible for
the development and implementation of successful campaigns
to create social and political change.
• Lead the process to develop effective strategies and
tactics in all Greenpeace campaigns. Campaigns based on political,
economic, and social changes, and changing opportunities.
• Represent Greenpeace in talks with politicians, business,
science and other NGOs. Also represent GP in the Media.
2. Oversee the financial management of the campaigns
• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of campaign
budgets.
3. Provide operational supervision to Campaign Team
• Build personal capacity of campaign team by coaching
and training.
• Build and maintain structures in the department that
facilitate information flow, knowledge management, decision
making and ownership.
• Build and maintain a working environment that provides
optimal working conditions for the campaign team (e.g. sustainable
work life balance, carrier opportunity, equity and fairness).
• As task giver, effectively integrate members of the
other departments e.g. communications and fundraising in project
teams.
• Support the campaign managers in all issues of line
management including motivation, performance reviews feedback,
training and coaching as needed by the Campaign Team including
volunteers.
• Analyse and calculate organisational risks (physical
or legal) that could be encountered during the campaigns,
and modify plans accordingly.
4. As a member of Management Team:
• Provide strategic advice on overall direction for
the organisation.
• Participate in the development of the Organizational
Development Plan, including the annual budget of the organisation.
• Participate in the development of policies and structures
of the whole organization, e.g. HR policies, grading systems
etc.
• Participate in the development of projects of other
departments.
• Play a pivotal role in the organisation’s communication
of its campaign to the public, through promoting close and
well-integrated working relationships with other departments
especially the supporter campaign department.
5. As a member of the international Campaign Directors Team
• Participate in the development of the international
program.
• Coordinate with the international Program- and Campaign
Director as well as with the international issue coordinators
the integration of the national campaign plan in the global
campaign plan.
