I recently read an article about a woman yearning for spiritual satisfaction and failing to find it despite trying everything from Buddhism to yoga and Reiki to shamans. She finally found it, she says, in a little cottage on the banks of a river -- in the midst of nature. The piece got me thinking about where I find my peace and feel energised. I remember being in Kaziranga -- sitting on the banks of one of the many bheels -- feeling as if this is 'it'. The river didn't ask me to reveal my fears and worries, did not expect any epiphanies -- yet it swept away every pressure and allowed me to just be. I could imagine myself doing that every single day of my life, not wanting anything more. I didn't need to go further than this green on blue horizon to find God.
