The Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary lies in the magical densely forested part of Arunachal Pradesh.A green paradise, this rugged mountain habitat sports panoramic landscapes beyond description. Unique natural lakes stud the protected confines and these in turn attract a high diversity of mammalian life including tiger, leopard, clouded leopard, snow leopard (in the higher reaches), leopard cat, fishing cat, spotted linsang, wild dog, yellow-bellied weasel, Burmese ferret badger, Himalayan black bear, Assamese macaque, stumped-tail macaque, slow loris, hoolock gibbon, red panda, musk deer, takin and serow.
