Poachers arrested for trafficking wildlife articles to China and Tibet
November 9, 2009: In a heartening move, seven people have been arrested for the illegal trafficking of wildlife parts into China and Tibet. Among the seized goods were two tiger skins, two leopard skins and some body parts.
CBI officials working in tandem with the Wild Life Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) nabbed Charan Das, Amit Kumar, Ranjit, Sadhu and Ram Swaroop as they made their journey on the Yashwantpur-Hazarat Nizamuddin Sampark Kranti Express.
The arrested poachers identified their associate as one Tasi Tsjhering who was later arrested in North Delhi.
