Kids for Tiger's Update
December 16, 2009: Kids for Tigers (KFT), Mumbai and St. Xavier's College collaborated to put up a stall at their premises on December 15, 2009. Students actively participated and were keen to know about the connection between water supply and our forests.
KFT Mumbai was invited to put up a stall at St. Xaviers College yesterday for their NGO mela. Information about KFT and its upcoming activities were given at the stall. Some enthusiastic students wrote New Year messages for the Forest Guards. Eighteen additional volunteers signed up to help during the 3 hours the stall was open. It was found that many students of this college are subscribers of our magazine, and actively read the magazine that is available in their library.
As part of the Earth from Above collaboration with KFT, Shishuvan School performed a nukkad natak on Marine Drive in the evening yesterday. It was a rousing performance appreciated by the crowd. The play provided easy tips on water conservation and also gave a grim picture of our future if we continued wasting our water. Mr. Maurice Martinez, Director of Studies of Alliance Francaise, who was present along with his team congratulated the students for their performance. He was very happy that KFT had organised something interesting to attract the crowd.
