Wildlife Conservation & You 2015

Wildlife Conservation & You 2015

“I am a nature lover. I love wildlife. What can I do to save it? How can I contribute to wildlife conservation?”
Wildlife Conservation & You (WCY), has set out to provide answers to those very questions. An NGO formed with the express intention of providing a platform to learn about wildlife conservation and to identify avenues for contributing towards conservation. WCY aims to connect people through their conferences and workshops. Their flag ship conference WCY (held in 2013 & 2014) was well received in Bangalore. Hosting a panel of established conservationists from across the country, the conference has been reaching out to a wide variety of participants from all walks of life. The talks are centered around carefully chosen topics to throw light on the various facets of conservation; wildlife crime, legal framework for conservation, education & research, conservation filmmaking and grass-root conservation to name a few. Participants can interact with leading conservationists and find ways to further enhance their contributions to conservation or to take that elusive first step.
WCY and Sanctuary Asia are joining hands to present WCY 2015 in Mumbai, on Saturday, June 6. Registrations are now open for the conference. For more details about the conference, please click here: WCY 2015
The day-long event is designed to be a primer to the often confusing world of conservation, and features talks on:

1. Wildlife crime and enforcement by Nitin Desai of the Wildlife Protection Society of India
2. Challenges to conservation by Prerna Bindra of BAGH Foundation
3. Visual media in conservation by Green Oscar winner Rita Banerji of Dusty Foot Productions
4. Grassroots conservation by Kedar Gore of The Corbett Foundation

Registrations for WCY 2015 are now open, and students can avail a 50 per cent discount on the registration fee. We encourage each of you to register now, and join us in protecting our remaining wildernesses. To register, click here: WCY 2015
