Ant and Tree Hopper by Yuwaraj Gurjar
Ants (Order: Hymenoptera) are known for their symbiotic associations with tree hoppers (Order: Homoptera). The hoppers feed on plant sap and excrete a sugar-rich liquid called honeydew, which is the digestive residue of the sap that attracts ants. The ants feed on this liquid and, in turn, protect the hoppers from predators such as wasps.
