Sloth Bear by Dr. Manoj C. Sindagi
The sloth bear Melursus ursinus feeds primarily on termites, ants, flowers, wild honey and forest fruit. An opportunistic feeder, it will also consume carrion if it gets a chance to. It seeks out habitats that provide safe resting places, such as caves and rock hollows where it can find shelter from the sun and rain. This captivating image was as taken in the Daroji Wildlife Sanctuary, Karnataka.
