The Sanjay Gandhi National Park Photography Contest 2015
Life In A Clutch
Special Mention: Dr. Anand R. Narvekar
Hidden away at the northern-most tip of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park is a mysterious and treasured forest scape – the 16 sq. km. Nagla block. What you see here are the freshly-laid eggs, each smaller than a millimetre, of the psyche butterfly Leptosia nina. The photographer was fortunate enough to observe the butterfly laying its eggs on a host plant, and after it left, he framed one of the many tiny miracles that Nagla boasts of using a macro lens.
EXIF: Canon EOS 7D, ISO-400, Shutter speed-1/200 sec., aperture-f/8, Focal Length-65 mm.
